JAWAI LEOPARD SAFARI
Granite boulders, pastoral Rabari heritage, and wild leopards roaming free in Rajasthan's rawest landscape.
Where Big Cats Roam Centuries-Old Granite Hills
Jawai, nestled in the Pali district of southwestern Rajasthan, is unlike any other wildlife destination in India. Here, wild leopards live among jagged billion-year-old granite kopjes and rock caves in harmonious coexistence with the local semi-nomadic Rabari pastoralist shepherds.
With no high fencing or dense jungle undergrowth, Jawai offers breathtaking, wide-open views of leopards perched on boulder tops under golden sunsets. Along with big cats, the pristine Jawai Bandh reservoir attracts migratory flamingos, pelicans, and large marsh crocodiles.
